No ego clashes between me and Arjun Bijlani - Shaleen Malhotra
Tellybuzz got Shaleen Malhotra talking about all things BCL.

We got in touch with the handsome actor and fast bowler and got him to spill some answers. And guess what? He was much more forthcoming than we thought and expected him to be.
How is BCL going?
It is fun. This is a platform where the whole TV industry comes together. But, I am disappointed because we have lost 2 matches. Actually very few of my team members have played cricket. And we also do not get to practice much because of non-availability of players.
Why Mumbai Tigers? You were a part of Pune last year.
This is a new team for me which also makes it a new challenge. Mumbai's performance was very bad last year. So I wanted to contribute. Me, sahil and Behzaad were in Pune also and we have stuck together in the Mumbai team this year as well. Next year maybe it will be a new team.
You are known to be an aggressive captain.
(laughs) On the contrary, I was called captain cool' by my team last year. I am the most chilled out guy on the field. I am not an aggressive captain. I am a fast bowler and you can ask anyone, a fast bowler never smiles. And it is aggression that gets you wickets. But otherwise I am a pretty chilled out guy.
Your angry side came to fore in your match with Jaipur Raj Joshiley. What exactly happened?
The bowler was simply chucking the ball. And I brought that to the notice of the umpire as I am the captain. So that pissed him off and so was I. Seriously, we would have come to blows if other players had not interfered. I do not even know who he is.
Have you played cricket before?
Yes. I have played up till the nationals.
What do you have to say about clashes between you and team owner Arjun?
Arjun was supposed to be the captain of the Mumbai team. But after I joined the team, I was elected as captain. Disagreements, Yes. Ego clashes, No. We had a few disagreements but there are no ego issues at all. There are just co-ordination issues in my team because we do not get to practice much.
How is the bonding in the team?
There was a little bit of discord in the first match. But now we have bonded pretty well. We have learnt from our past mistakes and our co-ordination has also improved.
What is going on, on the work front?
I shot for a pilot. But nothing has materialised as of now. I have no issues with doing daily soaps. But the role should be good. The man has to do something. I do not want to stand in the background and do absolutely nothing.
Any dream role?
I have done a few roles that were in my wish list. Anyone would have wanted to do the role that I did of Arjun'. But otherwise, I would have loved to do the role of Mann Singh Khurana, Gurmeet Chowdhary's role in Geet. I would also love to do something like Dr. Armaan Mallik, Karan Singh Grover's role in Dill Mill Gayye.
