Nitanshi Goel on 'Laapataa Ladies' & Amitabh Bachchan: He rehearsed lines with me on his knees

Kiran Rao's second directorial venture, "Laapataa Ladies," features an impressive cast, including the talented Nitanshi Goel. Her portrayal of Phool Kumari has been widely praised and marks a significant milestone in her career. However, this isn't Nitanshi's first foray into acting; she previously appeared alongside Amitabh Bachchan in an advertisement.

In a candid conversation on The Ranveer Show, Nitanshi Goel reminisced about her Bollywood journey and her experience working with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. The 16-year-old actress fondly recalled how Big B would patiently rehearse his lines with the young actors.

She shared, “When I first came to Mumbai, my first ever ad film which I featured in, was with Amitabh Bachchan sir. Of course, there were other kids, too, but there was also a sequence that featured just him and me. So, he came up to me and said, ‘Chalo hum lines rehearse karte hain (Let’s rehearse our lines)’.”

Nitanshi further described how the Piku actor would kneel to be at eye level with her while rehearsing. Praising his humility, she said, “Woh apne ghootnon pe baith gaye aur mere saath lines padhne lage (Amitabh Bachchan sir knelt and rehearsed the lines with me).”

She added that Bachchan's thoughtful gesture of kneeling was to match her height as she sat on a chair, showcasing his considerate nature.

For those unfamiliar with her work, Nitanshi Goel has also appeared in notable films such as "Vicky Donor," "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story," "Indu Sarkar," and more, as a child artist. She also shared the screen with Ajay Devgn in "Maidaan."
