Nirbhay Wadhwa undergoes 15 look tests for TV show

Actors going through a range of look tests in not a uncommon occurrence where it happens multiple times that th right look of a character may take more time and effort to be finalised.

However, when you have to go through 15 look tests spanning three months, that certainly is a feat in itself. That is what happened with actor Nirbhay Wadhwa.

Wadhwa will be seen playing the role of Bali in the TV show, Kahat Hanuman...Jai Shri Ram soon and it is for the same that he had to go through 15 looks spanning three months.

In an interview with Bombay Times, “From the right length of the beard to the shade of hair, every element was worked out minutely to finalise Bali’s look,” he said, adding, “Given my experience of playing Hanuman in various TV shows, I was aware of the fact that shooting with silicone molds on the mouth isn’t efficient. The sweat from the heat constantly loosens the silicon grip and the touch-up takes longer than usual. Therefore, I suggested the team to utilise dentures to make the process simpler.”

Elaborating on how in each look test something was amiss, the actor shared, “Initially when the look was planned, one thing that concerned everyone was that it wasn’t coming out that fierce. Even after over 10 tests, we still couldn’t nail the perfect look and found something amiss. In due course, the team decided to give a slightly oxidised feel to the ornaments, which helped in getting the right look. In the end, everyone was happy with the final look.”
