Actress Nimisha Vakharia, who plays Manorama Sharma in Prateek Sharma’s Pyaar Ka Pehla Adhyaya: Shiv Shakti, says that her character has all the elements of drama. While there are many emotional scenes, there is also humour.

“I'm getting excellent responses from the audience. Normally, when I go out, people recognise me immediately. Earlier, they used to recognise me from my previous projects when the show started two to three months ago, but now they recognise me from my character in the show Shiv Shakti. They love my character of Chachi.

People are really loving my character because it's really a complete palate. It has everything in it: humour, emotion, love…everything is there. It's a complete Rajbhog thali with all the shades and emotions any actor could wish for. I get satisfied as an actress while performing these kinds of roles, so definitely my audience must be very happy,” she says.

She adds, “This character is very different. I have never cried so much in any character I have done so far in my career. They are always funny, light hearted, and few scenes which are emotional. But I have always played such positive characters. This character is so much more. She is seen getting angry at kids, loving her kids, fighting for family and taking a stand for them. I feel so content as a person that yes, I have lived life. As an artist I feel, I have done everything, different emotions in this show. I'm so content. Thank you to Prateek Sharma for this character.”

Talking about how she relates to her role, she says, “As much as I relate to the character, I also seem to be very practical. I'm always very straightforward with my words. I don't keep anything with me. If I love someone, it's my responsibility to make sure that I take care of them. My kids are my life and my family stands first for me. Nothing matters more than them, and that is what I portray here in the show as well. Manorama and I are very similar in that manner.”
