Navya Nanda and Agastya Nanda redefine roles at home and beyond

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan's daughter Shweta Bachchan is a proud parent to two children, daughter Navya Naveli Nanda and son Agastya Nanda. Navya Nanda has expressed that she was raised in an egalitarian environment by her mother, Shweta Bachchan. 

In a recent conversation with Josh Talks, Navya shared some insights about her upbringing. She revealed that her grandmother had imparted some valuable advice to her, emphasizing that women possess natural entrepreneurial skills and exceptional management abilities. According to her grandmother, the responsibilities of a homemaker are akin to those of a CEO of a company. Navya's mother, Shweta Bachchan, raised both her and Agastya with equal opportunities and responsibilities.

Navya stated that she and Agastya shared the responsibility of financing and budgeting at home. Even now, as they both earn independently, they have a deep understanding of the value of money. Navya highlighted that there is no gender-based division of tasks in their household. She mentioned that she handles household finances, while Agastya can make tea when they have guests visiting. The idea is to treat all tasks equally and ensure that both siblings are capable of managing various aspects of their lives.

Meanwhile, Agastya Nanda is set to make his debut in the Bollywood industry with Zoya Akhtar's movie "The Archies." The film, which is a romantic teenage musical drama, is an adaptation of the popular American comic series Archie.
