The beginning of June brings with it Housefull 3, the third installment in the Housefull franchise. Featuring an ensemble cast starring talented actors like Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandes, Nargis Fakhri, Lisa Haydon, Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, and Chunky Pandey, the film promises to be a laugh riot, just like its predecessors.
The music album consists of four tracks, each composed by a different musician. The lyricists differ too, except Farhad-Sajid, who have a hand in all four compositions. We at BollyCurry gave it an ear and are now here to announce our verdict. Read on to know what we think about this album!

The album opens with "Pyaar Ki", voiced by Sharib Sabri, Toshi Sabri, Nakash Aziz, Divya Kumar, Anmol Malik, and Earl Edgar. The peppy music by Sharib Sabri and Toshi Sabri reminds one of the songs from the prequel. The lyrics by Manoj Yadav, Farhad-Sajid and Danish Sabri are quite nonsensical. The lyricists tried to sound clever with their wordplay but we are not impressed. All in all, this song is usual staple of the Housefull franchise; mindless yet entertaining.
The next track in the album is "Taang Uthaake", sung by Sohail Sen, Mika Singh, Neeti Mohan, and Mamta Sharma. Written by Sameer Sen, Farhad-Sajid, Mamta Sharma, and Sanjeev Chaturvedi, the lyrics are quite dull, and Sohail Sen's music is not on par with the first song. In short, we were left shaking our heads in agony while listening to this number.
The third song from this album is "Malamaal", composed by Mika Singh and Milind Gaba, and sung by Mika Singh, Akira, Miss Pooja, and Kuwar Virk. Rani Malik and Farhad-Sajid have done a decent job with the lyrics, which are a mix of Punjabi and Hindi. This foot tapping number will surely find its place at every wedding playlist this year!
The last song in this album is "Fake Ishq". The music to this sad number has been composed by Tanishk Bagchi. Voiced by some of the greatest Sufi singers of our times - Kailash Kher, Nakash Aziz and Altamash Faridi - the melody does tug at one's heart-strings. However, it is written in such an amusing manner by Sajid-Farhad and Arafat Mehmood, that it actually makes the listener chuckle. Heavy on the use of the harmonium and tabla, this number gives off a classical vibe. After the heavy beats and totally meaningless lyrics of the first three songs, this number comes as a relief to the listener.
Housefull 3 is not the best album of the year but it definitely will garner attention thanks to its catchy beats and inane lyrics. The freshness of the last track and the catchy music of the album did help its case, and thus, BollyCurry gives the album a rating of 2 out of 5.
Housefull 3 is releasing on 3rd June at your nearest theatres. We, at BollyCurry, wish the producer, Sajid Nadiadwala, all the very best for this film, and hope that it brings in a lot of moolah for him. We urge our readers to tune into YouTube or your favorite music streaming website to give this album a listen, and let us know what you think of it!
