In the post, Mrunal was seen alongside a cutout of Kohli, with a caption highlighting her past admiration for the cricket star. This post was reshared on Reddit, quickly catching the attention of fans and sparking a renewed interest in her comment.

Reacting to the resurfaced post, Mrunal took to social media with a straightforward reply, writing “STOP IT OK.” Her response was clear and direct, indicating her discomfort with the old statement being brought up again. The original comment from Mrunal was made during the promotion of her film Jersey, a cricket-themed drama. At the time, she had shared, “There was a time when I was madly in love with Virat Kohli. I started liking cricket because of my brother who’s a big fan. I have fond memories of watching a match live at a stadium with him around five years ago. I remember I was wearing a blue jersey and cheering for team India. Cut to today, I am part of a cricket-based film like Jersey. It is such a happy coincidence.”

Currently, Mrunal is involved in several projects. She recently appeared in Family Star with Vijay Deverakonda, though the film received a mixed response. She also made a cameo in Kalki 2898 AD alongside Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan. Looking ahead, Mrunal is working on Son of Sardaar 2 and has exciting projects on the horizon, including Pooja Meri Jaan and a Sanjay Leela Bhansali production.
