One of the age-old debates has indeed been about age-old classics over the years. Many keep claiming how the classics should remain classics and should remain untouched while a range of people feel that change is the only constant and treating an old classic with a modern approach and twists has no harm indeed. And that it what actor Nitish Bharadwaj also feels that for a newer generation to perceive all of it in its true essence, shows like these must reflect scenarios that carry a message relevant in today's times.
In an interview with ETimes, Bharadwaj said, "While the old school has its own charm, I believe that when a show is being created for a mass audience, it must include elements that will appeal to the larger audience, and mythological/historical shows are not an exception. So, it is of utmost importance for makers of mythological/historical shows today, to depict aspects of the legends that hold relevance and an important message that is valid for the audience today. Without this perspective in the script, the show may not appeal to the viewers of modern times."
He adds, "Today's audience seeks the relatability factor in the content they consume, and mythological shows must reflect upon morals/ethics that can be identified with the current generation. That shows the timelessness of virtues, the true strength of Indian heritage. There is no harm in portraying an age-old tale with a modern approach, presentation and twists. It’ll only intrigue the interest of the viewers."
