Farhan Akhtar has officially announced that Mirzapur will now debut as a feature film. Confirming long-standing rumors, Farhan shared on Instagram that this fan-favorite series is moving from streaming to theaters. In a special video, main cast members Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Divyenndu reveal that Mirzapur’s intense action and drama are coming to the silver screen, promising an even bigger experience.

Fans who followed the gritty world of Mirzapur on Amazon Prime Video for three thrilling seasons will now experience it in a cinema near them. This video announcement even teased Divyenndu’s much-anticipated return. The cast lineup is largely under wraps, but it seems likely that fans will see the original characters again. Rumors circulated about Hrithik Roshan stepping into Kaleen Bhaiya’s shoes, but no official word has come from the makers yet.

The transition to film comes as Mirzapur completes three successful seasons. Starting in 2018, the show’s debut sparked widespread enthusiasm, growing its audience through seasons two and three. Each season raised the stakes, and now, audiences can look forward to an entirely new experience with Mirzapur: The Film.
