Alia Bhatt, the Bollywood sensation, graced the Met Gala red carpet for the second consecutive year, stunning everyone with her exquisite attire. This time, she opted for a stunning creation by the renowned Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee – a traditional sari, showcasing elegance and cultural richness.

The theme of this year's Met Gala exhibit is "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion," which aims to highlight garments so delicate that they can never be worn again, frozen in time yet timeless. Alia's choice of a sari resonated perfectly with this concept, symbolizing the enduring significance of traditional Indian attire in modern fashion.

Interpreting the theme, "The Garden of Time," in an Indian context, Sabyasachi crafted a pastel sari adorned with delicate hand-embroidered silk floss, beads, sequins, and semi-precious stones. Inspired by vintage English gardens, the sari featured intricate wallpaper flowers, exuding a timeless charm.

A standout feature of Alia's ensemble was the 30-foot train trailing behind her as she graced the red carpet, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship of Sabyasachi's atelier. It took 163 individuals over 1965 man-hours to complete the outfit, a testament to the dedication and skill involved.
