Reports recently alleged that Bajpayee's remuneration for "The Family Man" was on par with Bollywood megastars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. However, when confronted about this on the chat show, Bajpayee promptly dismissed such rumours and expressed his discontent with the producers of OTT shows. He openly declared that these producers were no better than their film counterparts, highlighting their preference for investing in established names rather than acknowledging and fairly compensating deserving talent.

He went on to compare himself to sweatshop labourers in China. He explained, "Brands have factories in China because there is cheap labour. Similarly, I am the cheap labour here."

Despite the challenges, Bajpayee remains dedicated to his craft, and fans can look forward to his upcoming projects. One of them is the highly anticipated series titled "Soup," directed by Abhishek Chaubey, where Bajpayee will share screen space with the talented Konkana Sen. According to Bajpayee, the series has shaped up remarkably well, promising an enthralling viewing experience.

Further adding to his diverse repertoire, Bajpayee will captivate audiences with the thriller film "Dispatch," produced by Roni Screwvala's RSVP. With its gripping narrative, the movie is poised to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Additionally, the actor has collaborated with American filmmaker Raam Reddy on a yet-to-be-disclosed project, demonstrating his commitment to exploring international collaborations and telling unique stories.
