The eagerly awaited "Salaar Part 1 Ceasefire," featuring Prabhas in the titular role, won't be hitting theatres on its initially scheduled date of September 28. The film's production team has issued an official statement confirming the postponement and expressing their apologies to fans for the delay.

They assured audiences that the delay was due to unforeseen circumstances and the need for final touches on the movie.

Taking to Twitter, the makers shared the official statement, acknowledging the rumours surrounding the release date change. The statement conveys their gratitude for the unwavering support received for "Salaar" and explains that the decision was made with great care. The note reads, "We deeply appreciate your unwavering support for #Salaar. With consideration, we must delay the original September 28 release due to unforeseen circumstances. Please understand this decision is made with care, as we're committed to delivering an exceptional cinematic experience. Our team is working tirelessly to meet the highest standards. The new release date will be revealed in due course. Stay with us as we make the final touches on #SalaarCeaseFire and thank you for being a part of this incredible journey."

While the new release date remains undisclosed, speculation suggests that "Salaar" might target premiering during major festivals such as Diwali or Sankranti.

The decision to delay the release primarily stems from the need for additional post-production work. Reports suggest that the director was not satisfied with the quality of certain CG elements and chose not to compromise on the final product's excellence.
