'Mahabharata' actor Arpit Ranka welcomes baby girl

It was only a while ago we reported about how actor Arpit Ranka, who is best known for his roles in Mahabhrat, Chandra Nandini and other shows was all set to be a father again. Indeed this was the second time around for Ranka and his wife, Nidhi Somani Ranka where the couple already are parents to an adorable five-year-old son, Arnidh Ranka. And this time around, the baby is due by the end of September.

And while it didn't happen by the end of September the baby has now arrived and there couldn't have been a better day as Ranka and his wife have welcomed an adorable baby girl on the first day of Navratri earlier in the afternoon.

Talking about it with ETimes TV, Ranka said, “The feeling cannot be expressed in words, I am very very happy. Both my wife Nidhi and the baby are healthy. In a couple of days, they will be discharged from the hospital. And I cannot wait to take my little 

daughter to my home.”

He added, “Though I never had any gender preference when it comes to children, but welcoming a baby girl on the occasion of Navaratra sthapana is nothing but Goddess Durga’s blessing for me and my entire family. I feel truly blessed to welcome a little goddess when the entire nation is celebrating and welcoming Maa to their homes. Though the doctors had said that the expected delivery date was October 6, maybe our little girl wanted to come home during Navaratra.”
