Director Milan Luthria, whose latest directorial venture 'The Dirty Picture' has hit the bull's eye, feels strong dialogues are integral to a film.
'We try to entertain people through dialogues. This has been a very old tradition in the Hindi cinema. So, we tried to bring back that era...people do like tough dialogues. Even in the films of Amitji (Amitabh Bachchan) and Dharamji (Dharmendra Singh Deol), I remember there used to be a lot of tough dialogues,' the director said at an event here.
Meanwhile, the director is highly impressed with Vidya Balan's commitment level and talent.
'I think Vidya is one of the most special actresses of her time. Her choices are extraordinary, her talent is extraordinary, and her commitment is extraordinary,' said Milan, who started off in the film industry with 'Kachche Dhaage' in 1999.
He also directed 'Deewaar (2004)', 'Taxi No 9211', 'Hattrick', but Milan's fame skyrocketed with the 2010 underworld saga 'Once Upon a Time In Mumbaai'.
Basking in the glory of 'The Dirty Picture', Milan is currently working on 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2'.
