After exhibiting his patriotism in Shershaah, Sidharth Malhotra is once again on a mission for the country.
The name of this mission is Mission Majnu.
In this film, Siddharth has become a RAW agent who goes to Pakistan and lives among those people and informs India about the nuclear program there so that Pakistan's nuclear program can be foiled.
Sidharth did not actually go to Pakistan for the shoot but Lucknow was made Pakistan.
The film's cameraperson (DOP) has shared details about this with Dainik Bhaskar.
He said, “Recreating Pakistan is also an important character in this film. He is in his seventies. The challenge was that we had to show a Pakistan that did not look like the Muslim majority states of Bangladesh and Malaysia. In such a situation, we did research on the cultural differences of the then Pakistani people. We did not shoot in any one locality in Lucknow. Went to different places. If we see Authentic Pakistan, for that we went 80 km away on one side of Lucknow and left the other 60 km away".
Such a thorough preparation was done so that the first visual connection with the audience could be established.
South star Rashmika Mandanna is making her Bollywood debut in the film.
Mission Majnu has also used Urdu so that the then created Pakistan does not look fake.
A dialogue supervisor team was also kept for the film.
A member of the team said, “The actors like Sidharth, Sharib Hashmi, Kumud Mishra etc. are from Hindi background but Rashmika is from South. In such a situation, at the beginning of the shoot, she was having trouble with the dialect, but she picked up the pace in just two to three days".
