Like any show that has child actors playing leading roles, it is always inevitable that one day the show will be enabling a leap that will lead to those actors bidding adieu and grown-up actors taking over. For the past eight months, child actors Aditi Jaltare and Krish Chauhan have been doing an exceptional job on the Sony TV historical drama Punyashlok Ahilyabai and have made it one of the best-rated daily shows for the channel. But soon, the show is all set to undergo a leap of seven years which will lead to the child actors quitting the show.
While it has been known already that actor Aetasha Sansgiri will take over as Ahilya, actor Kinshuk Vaidya will e taking over from Chauhan as grown-up Khanderao Holkar. Talking about it with ETimes TV, Vaidya said, “Both Aditi Jaltare and Krish have done a fabulous job as Ahilyabai and Khanderao in the show. They have left big shoes for us to fill. It will be a challenging task as the audience gets attached to the actors.”
Vaidya will be seen in a historical show for the first time after having been in two mythological shows earlier and a few fiction shows. Ask him if he misses family dramas, he said, “I did a fiction show, Jaat Na Poocho Prem Ki, in between KarnSangini. I don’t demarcate a show on the basis of its genre. In fact, one gets to explore a lot of things in a mythological or a historical show, including horse-riding and being a part of fight sequences, which isn’t always the case in a social drama.”
Recently, Vaidya was in news for his apparent split with actor Shivya Pathania and while he gave his take on that, it seems they are once again a lot more active on social media with each other.
