After the Hindi version of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise tasted immense success, a Hindi dubbed version of Allu Arjun’s ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ is slated to release in theatres across the country on January 26.
Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal, who has a prominent role in ‘Shehzada’, the Hindi remake of ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ featuring Kartik Aaryan, expressed his concerns over the timing of the Hindi-dub's release. Rawal felt that the dubbed version could affect the commercial prospects of the Hindi remake. However, producer Manish Shah, who has the dubbing rights of ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’, feels that the release of the dubbed version of the film will not affect ‘Shehzada’.
Manish Shah, while speaking to a news portal, said,
“Shehzada has a frontline Hindi star cast and is being shot in a very big way. It is definitely going to do well.”
When asked about the timing of the release, Shah defended his decision and said,
“We have about four big release dates in a year and January 26th is one of the biggest days. There is no Hindi film releasing on that day and that is the reason I am releasing the dubbed version of the film.”
Meanwhile, Manish has bought the dubbing rights of the film for an astronomical price and insiders from the trade circle say that it is about time that producers, who wish to remake South films, should also make sure that they buy the dubbing rights to safeguard their Hindi films.
Otherwise, there will always be a chance that things will get complicated like it has in the case of ‘Shehzada’.
On the work front, Kartik will also be seen in Freddy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Captain India and Sajid Nadiadwala's next.
