Karisma Kapoor is undoubtedly one of Bollywood's most famous style icons. Her fashion sense from the 90s and early 2000s continues to be admired. Whether she's rocking athleisure or ethnic outfits, Karisma's impeccable looks never fail to impress.

Fans of her films, such as "Dil To Pagal Hai" will remember her for her standout fashion choices. Recently, in an interview with Grazia magazine, Karisma opened up about her fashion inspiration and her involvement in deciding her on-screen looks.

Karisma shared that initially, she was told what outfits to wear in her movies. However, as she gained more experience, she started taking an active role in choosing her costumes. She drew inspiration from the late actress Sridevi, whom she admired deeply. Karisma explained, "We were generally inspired by what was happening in the West, old stories of actors, and especially what Sri ji (Sridevi) used to do."

The 49-year-old actress praised Sridevi for evolving with the times. Reflecting on films like "Sadma," "Chaalbaaz," and "Lamhe," Karisma said, "I've been inspired by her since I was a child." She also highlighted the significance of Yash Raj Films' "Dil To Pagal Hai" in her career. "It was iconic. Jazz, athleisure, a mainstream actress not getting the hero – it was a turning point," she remarked.

Karisma was deeply involved in the fashion aspect of her character Nisha in "Dil To Pagal Hai." She would have detailed discussions with ace designer Manish Malhotra about her looks. Her attention to detail was so meticulous that she even cared about the shoes her character would wear, understanding that it influenced the character's gait, vibe, and overall presence.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Karisma Kapoor recently appeared in the mystery thriller "Murder Mubarak." Her next project is the web show "Brown," which her fans are eagerly anticipating.
