She said she found the thought very interesting even though she knew it could be controversial.

Kareena Kapoor Khan says that though some might find it controversial, she did think about it. She says like Rahul Gandhi has a lineage in politics, she too has the Kapoor legacy. In 2012, her mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore also made her entry in politics. Fans would be surprised to know that Saif Ali Khan and Rahul Gandhi are of the same age. Like Saif, he too has done his higher studies in the UK. The two are also products of an inter-faith marriage. Do you not feel that the similarities are too many? 

In fact, Raj Kapoor was one of the poster boys for the Congress. However, Rishi Kapoor was once scathing in his criticism of Rahul Gandhi. The politician said in an interview in 2023 that he is not averse to the idea of marriage. He said he did tie the knot when he found the right loving girl. Rahul Gandhi said he wanted her to have some qualities like his mother former Congress president Sonia Gandhi. He said his parents had a lovely marriage and his standards are very high.
