Debattama Saha and Karanvir Sharma won millions of hearts with their performances in Star Plus show ‘Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani’. Fondly known as #ShaKhi, the duo won accolades for their sizzling chemistry. The couple became an overnight sensation with a massive fan-following. Even while the show went off-air, Debattama and Karanvir continued to be in touch with each other and also did a few projects together making their fans elated.
Now, Debattama is all set to feature in yet another show as a lead. She has bagged Zee TV show ‘Mithai’ opposite actor Ashish Bharadwaj. India Forums got in touch with Debattama and asked her if she feels the pressure of building chemistry with new actor after her chemistry with Karanvir Sharma has been highly appreciated.
Debattama said, “I don’t know. I just don’t know. Karanvir and I are still in talks for some music videos and it is not like I won’t work with him as I’m a part of ‘Mithaai’. As far as building chemistry with Ashish is concerned, our dynamics are totally different. It’s more like that of Tom and Jerry. You can literally play the Tom and Jerry background music because Siddharth and Mithaai are like that. The unique part is that the nok-jhoks between them will not wash off suddenly after they get married. It will still be there for a long time. It’s not a show wherein two people fall in love and then get married. It will be like they’ll get married in tricky situation and after a long wait they might fall for each other. So, it’s very different and thus I don’t want to rush into building chemistry for now”.
We asked Debattama about Karanvir Sharma’s reaction on the promo of the show, she said, “Well, he buzzed me after watching the promo and told me that he is excited for the same and that the promo looks promising. He has been a great friend and well-wisher; I too wish the best for him”.

I’m still sad that “SAAKK” was ended abruptly !! Some regional versions like Bengali Mohor, Telugu Guppedantha Manasu and Tamil Kathrukenna Velli are still performing so well !!
