Karan V Grover on shift in his character: Angad only wants to protect Tejo, does not want anything in return

Colors' Udaariyaan is one of the most popular TV shows. It is one of the underdog TV shows of 2020 and Udaariyaan climbed up the popularity ladder quite quickly. All the characters of the show not only became household names but also have a huge fan base on social media.

A couple of months ago the show saw a new entry, Karan V Grover as Angad Maan. His was a flamboyant character. However, the recent track has seen a change in Angad's character. He has now grown possessive of Tejo and doesn't want to lose her.

India Forums got in touch with Karan V Grover to know about shift in his character for which he stated, "The shift in character primarily comes because Angad is not accepted by Teju as a lover and this drives Angad to a level where he cannot handle this rejection and he wants Tejo as a life partner so he kind of starts getting obsessed with the thought of protecting her and looking after her and he thinks the biggest threat to her is Fateh."

Also when asked him about how he has prepared for the role he mentioned, "My basic prep or getting into the mannerisms or the skin of any character first the most important aspect that is the intention of the character ,in this case Angad, his intention is only to protect Tejo, he does not want anything in return. Like a villain, he does not want to take away her happiness or he does not want to disturb her in any way. I just try and apply this intention and this approach to every scene and then of course as per  the scene written and dramatic effect needed in various situations I keep improvising my performance."

 Udaariyaan stars Ankit Gupta, Isha Malviya and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary in the lead roles.
