Karan Khanna on being directed by father-action director for TV show

Actor Karan Khanna currently plays the lead in Star Bharat's Amma Ke Babu Ki Baby and while the show might have it's own fate to deal with, when it comes to Khanna himself, he is the happiest man right now and indeed.

Khanna and his father Babbu Khanna's longwithstanding wish has come true. Babbu Khanna, an action and stunt director had a longing wish of directing son Khanna for an action scene when he plays a lead role in any presentation. That is now happening in Amma Ke... where the father-son recently worked together.

Talking about the experience with ETimes TV, Khanna said, “I am close to my dad. Be it work or my personal life details, I share everything with him. We share a very good father-son relationship. This is my first lead show and my dad always wanted to direct me as a stunt director and finally, that happened. It was a proud moment for both of us " he says adding, "He didn’t do any partiality on the sets. I have earlier assisted him on shoots and working with him is always enjoyable."

Usually very jovial, when asked if he was the same when his father was around, Khanna Kk,“I am that person who has the most fun on the sets and be it my dad or anybody else, I don’t change. Of course, I respect him as he is so senior to me personally and professionally, but I don’t leave a chance to pull his leg too. I love shooting such sequences where I can get dirty and jump in the mud and this was one of those scenes."
