Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the most popular and longest-running shows on the television. Even after so many years, it doesn’t fail to captivate audiences from diverse backgrounds with its compelling storyline. It has showcased numerous actors throughout the years, including Jheel Mehta, a prominent figure who has earned considerable recognition in the television industry. Known for her portrayal of Sonu Bhide in the hit sitcom, Jheel has recently been in the spotlight as she begins a new chapter in her life by getting engaged to her longtime partner.
Jheel reminisced about her daily earnings and her camaraderie with her co-stars from the show. In a recent interview with a media outlet, she also disclosed the names of the highest and second-highest paid actors on the sitcom.
In an interview with ETimes, Jheel Mehta shared details about her daily earnings and mentioned the highest-paid actor on the show. Revealing more, she said,“I am not sure if this is true; I can only remember that when I used to earn Rs 1200, he (Dilip Joshi) would be earning 15x of what I did. Dilip sir would be getting paid more than what has been assumed.”
Going into more detail, the actress expressed that the amount he earns is entirely deserved, as he significantly supports the show and his talent is outstanding. Jheel also mentioned the names of the other two highest-paid actors from TMKOC, indicating that either Disha Vakani, who played Daya, or Shailesh Lodha, who portrayed Taarak Mehta, was the second highest-paid actor.
Additionally, Jheel discussed her relationship with Jethalal Champaklal Gada, portrayed by Dilip Joshi. She mentioned that although he was very kind, the aspect of seniority made it difficult for her to connect with him as deeply as she did with her other co-stars. She added, “Being a kid, and then there is someone already so accomplished in front of you, so you hesitate to speak to them.”
Jheel bid farewell to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2012. Currently, the actress is gearing up for her wedding with her longtime partner Aditya Dube.
