Jhanak: Kajal Pisal talks about her character, and the show

Kajal Pisal is currently enjoying immense popularity for her portrayal of Tanuja Bose in the popular family drama Jhanak, which also stars Hiba Nawab, Krushal Ahuja, and Chandni Sharma.

Kajal loves her role and says, "I'm delighted to play Tanuja Bose. She's classy and elegant, doesn't mince her words, and speaks her mind. She calls a spade a spade and is very protective of her husband, Shubhankar "Shubho" Bose (Sachin Verma), and her son Aniruddh "Ani" Bose (Krushal Ahuja).

She continued, "Playing a Bengali woman is a wonderful and fresh experience for me. It's a beautiful learning experience since I have never had a Bengali friend. Henceforth, being in the show, I get to explore more about the festivals they celebrate, wedding rituals, and their lifestyle. I have realised that all rituals are more or less the same in any other tradition; it's just that we name them differently."

Kajal receives many compliments for playing Tanuja. When asked about the best one, she revealed, "My viewers keep messaging me on my social media accounts. Whenever I get time, I make sure to connect with them. It's them whose love and support motivate me. The most beautiful and common compliment I get to listen to or read is that I look too young for playing a mother in the story."

Presently, when shows go off air within months after they air, Jhanak has set a record for being among the top 2 shows along with Rupali Ganguly starrer Anupamaa.

Talking about the same, she feels, "I'm blessed to be part of this show, beautiful team and amazing production house. Star Plus is home to me. I have often worked with them on popular shows like Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai and Saath Nibhaana Saathiya. So, when I took this role, I knew it was worth it. Thankfully, our audience loves and appreciates our hard work. The success is only because of the teamwork and our dedication. It's the story that is being loved by the audience. Also, our direction team, DOP and everyone are working amazingly on and off-set. Also, I have to say the chemistry between us Actors is undeniable. They all bring life to the characters in our show, Jhanak."
