Janhvi Kapoor reveals early auditions for Karan Johar before 'Dhadak' debut:

Janhvi Kapoor is currently one of Bollywood's leading actresses. She is gearing up for the release of her upcoming movie, "Mr & Mrs Mahi," opposite Rajkummar Rao, produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions along with other major production houses.

In a recent interview with News 18, Janhvi discussed her initial interactions with Karan Johar and revealed that she was in talks for another Dharma film before her debut in "Dhadak."

Recalling her first interaction with Karan Johar, which took place before she began filming "Dhadak," Janhvi mentioned that she would occasionally meet him at social events. However, her first substantial interaction with Johar occurred at his office. She was uncertain whether she had already signed for "Dhadak" at that time but confirmed that there were discussions about her participating in another Dharma film.

Janhvi added that she would visit Johar's office weekly, where he would assign her a scene to perform. During this period, Johar was working on "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil," featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Janhvi revealed that Johar's then-Assistant Director, Sharan Sharma, would print scenes from films like "Jab We Met" and "Kapoor & Sons" for her. “As homework, I had to learn it and come and audition for Karan although he never referred to it as an audition. I think he was just gauging me,” Janhvi explained.

Janhvi Kapoor is set to appear in "Mr & Mrs Mahi" alongside Rajkummar Rao, where she portrays a cricketer. Her next project is "Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari" with Varun Dhawan, for which she has already commenced filming.
