"Kuch Kuch Locha Hai" is Sunny Leone's first comedy film, but the actress says she is not new to the genre as she has a "good sense of humour" and has "a little bit of training" in comedy.
The 33-year-old, who was here on Monday to promote the forthcoming comedy caper along with her co-stars Ram Kapoor and Navdeep Chhabra, said she does not feel embarrassed while making a fool of herself onscreen.
"'Kuch Kuch Locha Hai' is my first comedy film. But something that people don't know is that when I lived in the US and used to work there, I was part of a comedy group. There were stand-up comedians in that group and in between we used to do comedy skits," Sunny said.
"So I've a little bit of training in comedy, though I wouldn't say that I'm the funniest person ever, but I have a good sense of humour. I'm not afraid of chirping upon myself and make a fool of me on camera. I don't feel embarrassed doing it," she added.
Directed by Devang Dholakia, the movie will feature Ram as a 45-year-old married man, Pravin Patel, who witnesses a 'locha' (turmoil) in his life after he gets a chance to meet Bollywood star Shanaya (Sunny), about whom he always fantasised.
"Shanaya and I are completely different. She is a fictional one. But there are similarities as she also is an actress like me. There are certain similarities of glamour that are there, but she is not real," Sunny said.
Asked about his working experience with the former adult filmstar, Ram said: "When we started this film, I knew I was working with an in-demand, hot and sexy co-star as everybody wants to work with her these days. But I never thought that it would be so entertaining.
"Everybody knows that I'm a prankster, but Sunny is way beyond me. She is a tomboy and it doesn't come across easily. Normally this kind of fun, I used to have with boys like with Sajid Khan and others in 'Humshakals', but this is my first time with a girl. Sunny can be one of the boys any day."
Given the film's name, has there been any 'locha' (turmoil) in Ram's life?
"I have faced a lot of troubles in my life. When I was a kid I used to steal my father's car and go out. I'm the only son in this world, who has damaged his father's two cars in a single night. So it was quite similar to my film 'Mere Dad Ki Maruti'," he said.
Navdeep, who is making his debut with the film, said: "I'm playing Ram's son in it. We are always after each other's cases. The film is a family comedy because it has everything - a mother, father, and son. Also we have various love angles in it. There is nothing like adult comedy in it."
"Kuch Kuch Locha Hai", which also stars Evelyn Sharma, will release on Friday.
