It’s not easy to replace a character which is played by someone else for so long: Tina Philip of Kumkum Bhagya

Zee TV’s popular fiction show, Kumkum Bhagya has been an audience favourite courtesy its intriguing plot and authentic portrayal of relatable characters like Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia), Pragya (Sriti Jha), Rhea (Pooja Banerjee), Aaliya (Reyhna Pandit), Ranbir (Krishna Kaul) and Prachi (Mugdha Chapekar). In the last few episodes, viewers got a chance to witness a shocked Rhea who after reading a text on Prachi’s phone assumed that she is pregnant with Siddharth’s (Rhea’s ex-husband) child. However, little does Rhea know about the real truth behind Prachi’s pregnancy. While the upcoming episodes will bring in an interesting revelation for her, viewers are also set to receive a surprise seeing the new Rhea in the show.

Yes, you heard it right! Pooja Banerjee who was essaying the character of Rhea Mehra for almost 3 years recently decided to step away from her character, owing to her maternity leave. While her team and the fans will greatly miss her presence on the show, a new, talented face is all set to step in her shoes and essay this character. As exclusively reported by India Forums, Tina Philip has been roped in to replace Pooja in the show.

Honestly, it’s not very easy to replace a character that has been played by someone else for so many years. But I will give my best to entertain the audience and not disappoint them.
