Boman Irani, who turned to acting after being a professional photographer, is now keen to try his hand at direction.
"I would like to make a movie, I'd like to direct the movie. I don't know what time (when), but all I know is I would like to make a film about human spirit," the 52-year-old said here.
"I would like to make film about people, people interest me a lot. I like human beings, I don't like too much violence, unfortunately," he added.
Talking about his time as a photographer, Boman says after entering films he met a lot of people who taught him the nuances of working behind the camera.
"People you meet, great people like Ram Madhvani, Raju (Rajkumar) Hirani, (Vidhu) Vinod Chopra... sometimes they take your hand and take you wherever you got to go, you got to do it with great grace and spirit that these people are probably more knowledgeable than you are.
"So this journey of mine has been actually magical it has been very special, but standing behind the camera has actually taught me a lot about standing in front of the camera," Boman said.
Boman made his Bollywod debut with "Everybody Says I'm Fine!" in 2001 and later did memorable roles in "Munnabhai M.B.B.S.", "Main Hoon Na", "Being Cyrus", "Lage Raho Munnabhai", "Khosla Ka Ghosla" and "3 Idiots".
His latest film "Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi" hit screens Friday.
