I was the dessert of Woh Toh Hai Albela: Anuj Sachdeva on his finite stint in the show

Anuj Sachdeva, who essayed the role of 'Cheeru' in Rajan Shahi's show 'Woh Toh Hai Albela', recently made his exit from the show. The actor, who was aware of his stint in the show being a 'finite' one, spoke to India Forums about the same and revealed the reason behind opting for the show despite his stint being a finite one.

In the recent episodes of Star Bharat's show 'Woh Toh Hai Albela,' the viewers witnessed a shocking twist in lieu of Cheeru's death.  Anuj Sachdeva, who essayed the character of Cheeru got in a conversation with India Forums and spoke about his stint in the show coming to an end. When we asked Anuj why did he decide to opt for the show despite knowing that his character was finite, the actor said, ''I know that the character is finite. There was something about this character, you know, this character is the only character in the entire cast which the audience will emotionally connect to. I knew I could portray it well and could catch the nerve of the character which will connect to the audience. I know actors think that they should not opt for characters that are finite, but I rather believe that this was an opportunity to connect with the audience. Just like they say that anything sweet can only be enjoyed until and unless it is in a limited quantity. Well, I was that dessert in the show.'' 

Responding to questions about Raqesh Bapat being the first choice for his character in 'Woh Toh Hai Albela,' the actor said, ''I dont know Raqesh. I know he has done some fantastic work and I have also seen his Marathi film. However, neither me nor Raqesh are insecure people. I was unaware of this character being offered to Raqesh and was informed by Rajan sir himself. Rajan sir told me that he was not involved in choosing Raqesh. I am sure Raqesh was going to get something better and the same thing became an opportunity for me.''

Anuj's character recently came to an end which is also the turning point in the show. The show might now witness Sayuri (Hiba Nawab) and Kanha's (Shaheer Sheikh's) marriage.
