I promise viewers will see Daya soon in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’: Asit Modi

Needless to say, Sony SAB’s show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ is a trendsetter. The show is running since years and apart from providing entertainment, the show also tends to school the viewers on various social issues. The show has a massive fan-following and people not only love to see the fresh episodes but also watch the old telecast of the show, such is the legacy created by the show.

One name that surely pops up into our heads while talking about TMKOC is that of Daya ben, played by actress Disha Vakhani. The actress went on a maternity break and has been missing from the show ever since. In the course of time, she delivered another baby while fans wait for her arrival as Daya in the show.

I pray to God for a miracle to happen and Disha Vakhani to return to the show. However, I’m aware of her personal responsibilities as she is a mother of two. Having said that, I want to promise the viewers that they will very soon see the new Daya Bhabhi.

Earlier today, a press conference was held by the makers of the show to introduce actor Sachin Shroff as the new Taarak Mehta in the show. While Asit Modi welcomed Sachin onboard, he also obliged with media when asked about Daya ben’s character. Mr. Modi said, “Well, Daya is an unforgettable character. Even after her absence from the show since around four to five years, people still miss her and want her back. I pray to God for a miracle to happen and Disha Vakhani to return to the show. However, I’m aware of her personal responsibilities as she is a mother of two. Having said that, I want to promise the viewers that they will very soon see the new Daya Bhabhi”.
