Earlier last year, Hotstar Specials announced a collaboration with iconic movie-maker Neeraj Pandey for an ambitious new show. Titled ‘Special Ops’ the show is being mounted on an international scale and marks the digital debut of Neeraj Pandey. While further details of the show are being tightly guarded, the show is based on events of national significance spanning a period of 19 years. The international spy thriller is being shot across Major international locations across countries including Turkey, Azerbaijan, Jordan and India. 

The show is produced by Neeraj Pandey and Shital Bhatia for Friday Storytellers – the digital arm of Friday Filmworks. Neeraj Pandey and Shivam Nair will Co-Direct this action-packed thriller that will feature an accomplished cast and crew. With a keen focus on quality and research, Special Ops has been written by Neeraj Pandey himself along with accomplished writers including Deepak Kingrani and Benazir Ali Fida

Neeraj Pandey said “We have been at the forefront of creating genre-defining content and are excited to collaborate with Hotstar Specials to produce our first digital series ‘Special Ops’. With special attention to writing, we have tried to recreate real-life events that have somewhere affected our lives over the past few years.
