Salman Khan's work seems to be significantly impacted by the ongoing security issues and death threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Over the weekend, he appeared visibly affected by the threats and the recent death of Baba Siddique during Bigg Boss 18 Weekend Ka Vaar. Following this, reports surfaced that Rohit Shetty has allegedly decided against filming Salman's cameo as Chulbul Pandey in Singham Again due to the troubling circumstances surrounding Salman. Additionally, it is now being reported that the shooting schedule for Sikandar has also come to a halt.
A source close to Salman Khan revealed that he is reducing his work commitments to stay low-key due to the increasing death threats he has been receiving. “It is no longer enough to provide him stern security. For some time now, Salman would have to lie really now. He won’t be shooting for anything for quite a while, indefinitely I’d say,” the actor’s alleged close friend told Times Now.
“Abhi kuch nahin kaha jaa sakta hai. Sikandar requires a whole lot of choreographed action. Director Murugadoss needed Salman’s full attention. But right now that seems impossible. The way ahead is still very unclear. Right now, the most important thing is Salman and his family’s safety. That won’t be compromised under any circumstance,” the insider added.
Helmed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Sikandar is scheduled for release on Eid 2025. The film has been in production for several months. Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal, who have significant roles in the film, confirmed that shooting had begun through their social media updates.
A few weeks ago, it was reported that Salman sustained an injury while filming. The Bollywood star confirmed that he hurt his ribs during the shoot. Recently, however, Salman has been facing death threats from members of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. The latest threat surfaced shortly after the murder of Mumbai-based political leader Baba Siddique, who was a close associate of Salman. Siddique was shot outside his son’s office and succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. Since then, Salman’s security has been significantly increased.
