Today marks the birthday of two gorgeous Bollywood divas who have mesmerized countless of people around the globe. We are talking about the beautiful Ameesha Patel and the fashionable, Sonam Kapoor.

Ameesha Patel was born on 9th June, 1976 to Amit Patel and Asha Patel. She is also the grand daughter of renowned barrister, Rajni Patel. Completing her studies from Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai, she graduated in Economics from Tufts University, Massachusetts. Patel began her career as Economics Analyst at Khandwala Securities Limited and also received an offer from Morgan Stanley, which she turned down. She eventually started modeling and has represented companies such as Fair & Lovely, Bajaj, Lux and various other brands. Her first venture in the acting world was with the Urdu play Neelam in 1999. Her debuted in Bollywood with Hrithik Roshan in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai (2000) garnering much appreciation. The petite lass then went on to star in some successful movies such as Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001) and Humraaz (2002). However, the majority of her movies failed to do well at the Box Office. Besides cinema, Patel has also works alongside PETA and UNDOC (United Nations Office for Drugs and Crime). She joined an NGO, Planet, in 2006 which helps village people to read via film songs as well.

Sonam Kapoor was born to Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor on 9th June, 1985. She is related to Boney Kapoor, Sridevi, Arjun Kapor from her dad's side and to Ranveer Singh from her mother's side. Kapoor completed her schooling in Arya Vidya Mandir in Juhu and attended United World College of South East Asia, a boarding school in Singapore. She also studied at University of East London where she graduated in Political Science and Economics. Kapoor began her career as assistant director and worked along Ranbir Kapoor on Black (2005). Her first release was Saawariya (2007) opposite Ranbir Kapoor and though the movie did not do well, her performance was widely noticed. Kapoor rose to fame with movies such as I Hate Luv Storys (2010), Aisha (2010), Thank You (2011), Players (2012) and Raanjhanaa (2013). She is currently working in Khoobsurat with Fawad Afzal Khan, Badmash Launde (2014) with Saif Ali Khan and in a Tamil remake of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi with Dhanush.
