BollyCurry has another set of birthday wishes lined up for none other than a sparkling gem of Bollywood, Abhishek Bachchan. An actor, producer and singer (rapper), Bachchan was born on February 5, 1976, to the legendary superstar Amitabh Bachchan and the veteran actress Jaya Bachchan. He is the husband of former Miss World, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and father to a beautiful daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan.

Bachchan started his Bollywood career with the film Refugee opposite the stunning actress Kareena Kapoor Khan in the year 2000. He went on to feature in several commercial and drama movies which tanked drastically at the box-office. A few notable Bollywood movies to his credit are Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon (2003), LOC Kargil (2003) Phir Milenge (2004), Bluffmaster! (2005), Bunty Aur Babli (2005), Sarkar (2005), Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), Dhoom 2 (2006), Guru (2007), Dostana (2008), Paa (2009), Bol Bachchan (2012), Dhoom 3 (2013) and Happy New Year (2014). Bachchan's talent got recognition after his bizarre acting in the film Yuva, following which he got critically acclaimed for the Dhoom series. Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon gave him his first ever Filmfare Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, and he went on to win the award for Yuva. Bachchan also bagged the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for Sarkar and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, thus making it to three consecutive Filmfare Awards, one after the other. As a producer of the film Paa (2009), he earned the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi in the year 2009.

His Bollywood career has been a roller-coaster ride where he saw the high-ups as well as the low-downs. Bachchan garnered his share of success with his role in the comedy drama Bol Bachchan and the action thriller heist Dhoom series. His most recent stint, Happy New Year (2014) has only added diamonds to his cap as he continues to win awards for the Best Actor in a Supporting Role. Bachchan has managed to capture the attention of the audiences through his advertisement for well-known brands like LG Appliances, Prestige, American Express, Videocon, Motorola, Ford Fiesta and the for the tag line "Grahak Ko No Ullu Banao-ing" for Idea Cellular Services which went viral nationwide. It may come to you as a surprise, but he has also anchored the television reality show National Bingo Night.
