On one hand, work has become all the more difficult to manage with COVID-19 cases on a constant rise; on the other hand, people continue to take as much work as possible in these testing times.
Veteran actor Himani Shivpuri had been on the tube for a long time now and has been a part of And TV's Happu Ki Ultan Paltan for over a couple of years now. Now the actor has been roped in to be the voice of a haveli in upcoming comedy show Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai?
The situational comedy show captures the age-old Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb of Lucknow through two families - the Mishras featuring Shanti Mishra (Farhana Fateema) and Ramesh Prasad Mishra (Amrish Bobby) and the Mirzas featuring Sakina Mirza (Akansha Sharma) and Zafar Ali Mirza (Pawan Singh), cohabiting in an old haveli. The story revolves around their desire to own the haveli and not share it with the other, leading to constant bickering and amusing scuffles around everyday issues and incidents. As the story unfolds, the haveli takes the centre stage and Shivpuri will be giving voice to the haveli where she will talk about the City of Nawabs Lucknow, the Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb reflecting in the show and introduce the Mishras and the Mirzas.
Talking about her stint to ETimes TV, Shivpuri said, “I am really glad to dub the first episode premise of ‘Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai?’ This show has a unique vibe to it. It is a breath of fresh air for the viewers. I was really excited when the makers approached me to give voice to the haveli, I loved the idea and jumped right into it. The show depicts the authenticity of Lucknow giving full justice to the beauty of the city. I am looking forward to seeing the show being a part of everyone’s life.”
