Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein fame Vijhay Badlaani Takes on a Powerful Role in Zee TV's New Show

Vijhay Badhlaani, known for his role in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, is set to take on a new and challenging character in the Zee TV show Jagriti-Ek Nayi Subah. This upcoming series has been gaining attention for its distinctive storyline. Badhlaani will make his debut in Jagriti as a police officer, portraying a strong, selfish, and manipulative character named Amol.

In a recent conversation with Pinkvilla, Vijhay confirmed the news and expressed his excitement about the role. He shared, “Yes, I have joined the cast of Jagriti. My character Amol, a police officer, is a negatively shaded character who knows how to get his way in any situation. He is strong-headed and cunning. Amol will work along with the main negative Aarya Babar and make sure to bring trouble in Jahriti's life.”

He elaborated on the depth of his character, stating, “The character is very well-written and has a back story with his wife. The couple got married under certain circumstances, and thus he has no respect for his wife, or any other woman for that matter. He also has a softer side, which only comes out when he is with his five-year-old daughter.”

Vijhay further expressed his enthusiasm for playing such a complex role. “I am extremely thrilled to play such a multi-dimensional character. For the first time, I have grown a beard for a character to make it look more convincing. Jagriti presents a unique narrative that highlights harsh realities. It tells the story of the Chitta community, where newborns are marked as criminals even before they take their first breath. The show is set in the fictional town of Mokshgarh in Jharkhand, exposing the systemic injustices faced by these individuals, who are denied basic rights and relegated to menial jobs due to societal prejudices.

Aarya Babbar makes his long-awaited return to television as Kalikant Thakur, the village’s wealthiest man who exploits the Chitta community. Alongside popular child actress Asmi Deo, who plays the titular role, Jagriti aims to inspire viewers through its powerful storyline and diverse characters, promising a captivating experience.
