Sony TV's upcoming show Suryaputra Karn is already creating lot of buzz in the media. The latest we hear that Gautam Rode has been approached to play the character of Karn.

Gautam, currently seen as Rudra from Life Ok's Mahakhumb, has been approached to play the lead on the show, Suryaputra Karn. It was also reported in the media that Avinesh Reiki was almost finalised for the character but it didn't worked out.

We contacted Gautam who told us, "Can't comment about it as of now."

Though, the Karn of the show is yet to be locked but the shoot of the show has already started.

Gautam Rode is one of the best looking telly star, even proved as best actor in Saraswati Chandra. Secondly, according to his physic he is best option of Karn role.

GR is a good actor ...but for me Aham Sharma is the only Karna !!!!!!

I am not sure if Avinesh will suit the character or not. GR is a good choice but I wish they choose the actor more carefully. Karn is my fav fictional character and I hope the makers do full justice to his story. Pankaj Dheer in BR Chopra's Mahabharat epitomized Karn and I hope the actor who plays this role will do a good job too.

Don't want Gautam Rode to take up a mythology based show. Aham Sharma epitomized Karn, can't see that getting repeated yet again by another actor. I would prefer GR to stick with rom-coms or romantic shows :)
