Yami Gautam Dhar is eagerly awaiting the release of her next big release, ‘Oh My God 2’ and with just a few days left for its release, the gorgeous actress is keeping her fingers crossed for the film’s success, as this time she will be seen portraying the role of a lawyer, standing next to the powerhouse performer Pankaj Tripathi.
While the gorgeous and versatile actress, who looks pretty confident in the garb of a lawyer in ‘Oh My God 2’, her fans expect her to pull off the challenging role, similar to her other previous remarkable characters that she has played effortlessly. Uri: The Surgical Strike
Apart from the movie known for uplifting the spirit of patriotism in every Indian, it was also known for the terrific performances by the cast including Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam Dhar. While Vicky portrayed the role of a captain who was at the fore-front of the real life surgical strike, Yami too proved her mettle as an actor in the character of an intelligence officer.
Chor Nikal ke Bhaga
Touted to be her consecutive fourth release on a streaming platform after ‘A Thursday’, ‘Dasvi’, and ‘Lost’, Yami walked away with accolades from the audience, industry and critics alike for pulling off the role in the movie, which became the most viewed Indian film on Netflix within two weeks of its premiere.
Kaabil
One of the finest and vulnerable characters on screen so far, Yami played a visually challenged woman in ‘Kaabil’ also starring Hrithik Roshan. It was a career-defining role for her as the movie went on to perform well at the box office and it was indeed Yami’s one of biggest releases to date.
Lost
Yami gives an incredible performance as the investigative crime reporter Vidhi Sahni who is on the mission to unravel the truth. She had shouldered the film exceptionally well by holding audiences’ attention with her nuanced performance.
A Thursday
Breaking from the conventional ‘girl next door image’, the film was indeed a game-changer in Yami’s career. In the film, Yami plays Naina Jaiswal, a school teacher who holds 16 children hostage in a school. Yami received a lot of critical acclaim for her performance in the movie, also starring Neha Dhupia and Atul Kulkarni in key roles. Directed by Behzad Khambata, the movie was appreciated for its nail biting climax.
Bala
As a video content creator, the quintessentially beautiful Pari (played by Yami) falls in love with Bala (Ayushmann Khurrana), unaware of the fact that he is using a wig to hide his receding hairline. The two soon marry but their joy is shortlived as Pari learns the truth and faces the biggest dilemma of her life.
