'Forced to workout for three hours,' husband's cruelty to make wife look like Nora Fatehi goes viral

Nora Fatehi one of Bollywood’s best dancers and most beautiful women has inspired many in a positive manner. However, a news report coming out of Ghaziabad is rather disturbing. A woman has alleged that her husband tortured her physically and mentally as he wanted a wife who looked like Nora Fatehi. It seems he was dissatisfied with his bride’s looks and would torture her saying that he could get a woman as good-looking as the Moroccan – Canadian performer. Shanu alias Shanvi has said that her husband Shivam Ujjwal, a government physical education teacher forced her to exercise for three hours daily. When she refused to do so due to tiredness or health issues, he would refuse to give her any food for days. In a long complaint with the Ghaziabad Police, she has levelled allegations of dowry harassment, domestic violence, miscarriage, threats, and blackmail against her husband and in-laws.

Shanvi said her husband was a womanizer and would watch objectionable pictures and videos of other women. When she tried to say something, he would beat her up. It seems Shivam Ujjwal and his parents and sister kept on torturing her mentally and physically in the few months of marriage. They demanded more dowry, and asked for items like clothes, an oven and jewellery from her maternal home. The wedding took place in March 2025 in Ghaziabad in a lavish manner. The lady has claimed that her family spent Rs 76 lakh on the marriage. It included items like a Mahindra Scorpio worth Rs 24 lakh and Rs 10 lakh in cash. Despite such gifts, the demands from the in-laws did not end, as they wanted cash, land and jewellery.

Shanvi has claimed that she got pregnant in between. She said her in-law’s gave her abortion pills that led to excessive bleeding and unbearable pain. When she was admitted, the doctors confirmed a miscarriage. Thereafter, she returned to her maternal home, where her in-laws abused her family and her over video calls. They also threatened divorce. When they went to Shivam Ujjwal’s home, they did not let them enter and did not return the jewellery gifted by them.
