Rabbi Shergill, the voice behind popular songs like "Bulla Ki Jaana" and "Tere Bin", says fitness is important if one wants to enjoy the true spirit of life.
"Keeping fit is vital. Life is god's gift and I believe to enjoy that it is very important to keep fit and healthy. You may have all the money but if you are not fit, you won't be able to live life to the fullest," Rabbi told IANS.
Rabbi, who recently inaugurated the Get Active Expo, to be conducted at the Airtel Delhi half marathon, never misses his workout regime.
"My workout session includes yoga and some free hand exercise. I do yoga for half-an-hour everyday and then some squats, sit ups, push ups, crunches. I am not into body building but make sure I don't miss my exercise routine," he said.
An initiative by Radio Mirchi, the Get Active Expo focuses on strengthening the cause for better fitness, health and lifestyle and Rabbi has urged everyone to participate in the marathon scheduled for Sep 30.
As far as his career goes, the Delhi-based singer, who likes to travel and read, has some film songs lined up.
The singer carved a niche for himself with his first album "Rabbi" in 2005.
Talking about studio recordings and live performances, Rabbi says one can't compare the two.
"Recording in studio is very different from a live performance. It is like you create something in the studio and then express yourself and complete it in front of the audience during a live performance," he said.
