Actors Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi mark their digital debut with Farzi, a Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK production available on Prime Video. The cast and crew of Farzi unveiled its trailer on Friday, giving viewers a clearer look at the action-packed web series that stars Shahid as a conman and Vijay as an investigator seeking to find him. Farzi also stars Kay Kay Menon, Bhuvan Arora, Raashi Khanna, Amol Palekar, and Regina Cassandra in pivotal roles.
Farzi centres on the cat-and-mouse chase between Shahid and Vijay Sethupathi in which losing is not an option.
The trailer opens with Shahid Kapoor on a bed full of notes boasting about being so wealthy that "he does not need to respect money anymore." The remainder of the trailer shows how Shahid and his group create 'nakli notes' (counterfeits) in order to become instantly wealthy. The actor mouths in Hindi, "We are not middle-class, we're the middle-finger class!" demonstrating his newfound determination to destroy the system, in which the wealthy continue to amass wealth while the poor simply pay back loans.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcQ_xZdzPBcShahid recently shared a peek of "fake" Farzi trailer on Instagram Reels. Shahid was seen in the amusing video chastising "Farzi Shahid" (the phoney Shahid) for occupying his spot on the set and shooting a farzi (fake) trailer. Together with Sita R Menon and Suman Kumar, Raj and DK wrote Farzi. The upcoming eight-episode series is described as an edgy, one-of-a-kind crime thriller, sewn around a cunning underdog street artist's desire to scam the system that favours the rich, with the filmmaker duo's trademark humour. It will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 10th February onwards.
