Do you know one of the actors of the show Lajwanti was an assistant Director of Movie' Ek Villian'

TellyBuzz brings an exclusive interview of actor Vidur Anand from fame 'Lajwanti' Check it out...

Zee TV's recently launched show Lajwanti is gearing up all the attention with its intriguing story line by introducing quite a new faces, one of which is Vidur Anand who is playing Lal Chand on the show. We got in touch with him to know more about his debut venture.

Let's have a look on what all he had to say:

What made you to step into acting?

A realization! The question that I cracked quite late in the day. So, since second standard when we used to have ad making competitions in school, to skits, to stage plays and street play performances, to being a part of the theater circuit of Delhi University at a national level and then venturing into making a few short films, I realized that, we humans are enacting and emoting each living moment. So why not try to make a career out of the life I already live and cherish?

This is your first show, how has your experience been so far?

I feel truly blessed. It's been an extremely crazy and amazing ride at an emotional, psychological as well as physical level. Before 'Lajwanti' I was an Assistant Director on the movie 'Ek Villain'. Coming from behind the camera to the front is an experience, beyond words. Wow! It's a roller coaster feeling living each day. Simply lovely! I get to work with beautiful co-actors and an amazing unit. Ila Bedi Dutta is like my Maa. I'll just say it again, feel blessed.

Lajwanti is an altogether different show from the current daily drama running on television, so what made you to take this show and do you feel lucky to be part of such different conceptual show?

So, I'd like to re-mold that statement. I didn't take the show, the show chose me. And I am more than happy to be a part of this show. Rajinder Singh Bedi is one of the very crucial writers, we have had. I read Lajwanti's story and was taken aback by its sheer depth and emotion, it's really quite different from the regular shows you see on Indian Television. Lajwanti is the best platform anyone can wish for to foray into Television.

Tell us something about your character.

Lal Chand is a very light-hearted character who incessantly follows his heart. Always there to lighten the most serious of situations, he loves to joke around and spread smiles. But at the same time he is also very loyal by heart. Sunder Lal is his best friend and if ever, he is in any problem, Lal Chand is the first person to stand up for him. He is always by his side. In fact, he knows Sunder so well that he realizes that Sunder is in love with Lajjo, way before the more logic-driven Sunder even admits it to himself! That is a different thing that the way he confronts Sunder is by pulling his leg and teasing him.

How much can you relate to your character of Lal Chand'?

Well to be honest, quite a lot! I am the prankster on the set and I just can't sit idle. In between my shots, when I get the time I go and knock at everyone's room or go and bug the spot dada's or if there are any props on the set, so I go and mess around with them. And when there are scenes of my co-actors and if they ever make a slip up, I can't stop my laughter which sometimes leads to the entire set laughing! I do get a little scolded at times - but I think it's worth it!

If not acting, then what would you opt for?

If not acting, sticking to what I said - I would still always be acting. Like Shakespeare truly said, The world is a stage and all the men and women, merely players.' But if not an actor by profession, I'll be writing and directing and making music. In fact besides acting, I keep writing and directing my own short films. I am an artist by heart and soul and so no matter where I go, I will be creating something that I can showcase all the time.

What are your expectations from the show?

Expectations is a tricky business. One of the motto's of my life that my mom once said is, Hope for the best, prepare for the worst and take what comes and meanwhile work hard' So all I'll say is, that I hope it's going to be the best show ever!

We wish the same! TellyBuzz wishes Vidur Anand good luck for his debut venture on television!
