Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya, who have been delighting their fans with beautiful pictures and videos from their European getaway, recently faced a harrowing incident. The couple had been enjoying their time exploring various cities and capturing stunning moments until they arrived in Florence, where the couple fell victim to a robbery, losing their passports, wallets, and valuables estimated to be worth Rs 10 lakh.

Vivek recounted the incident:

Sharing the distressing experience with Etimes, Vivek recounted that their trip had been wonderful until they arrived in Florence, where their car was broken into, and their passports, wallets, money, shopping, and other valuables were stolen. The local police offered no help due to the lack of CCTV footage, and the embassy was closed for the day.

Talking with the mentioned portal, Vivek said, "Everything about this trip has been incredible, except for this incident. We arrived in Florence yesterday and planned to stay for a day. We went to check out a property we liked for our stay and left all our belongings in a car parked outside. However, when we returned to get our stuff, we were shocked to find that the car had been broken into, and our passports, wallets, money, shopping, and all our valuable items were gone. Fortunately, they left behind some old clothes and food items."

The Couple seek urgent embassy assistance:

The actors immediately sought help from the local authorities but were met with a lack of support. Vivek expressed his frustration, "We tried contacting the local police, but they dismissed our case, saying that without CCTV cameras in that specific area, they can't help us. They even felt there was no point in them visiting the location. The police station shuts at 6 pm, and after that, they can't offer any assistance. We also tried reaching out to the embassy, but unfortunately, they had already closed for the day."

With their return to India scheduled in just a few days, Divyanka and Vivek are in a dire situation. Vivek shared that they are currently in a small town near Florence, where the hotel staff has been supportive. However, they are stranded without cash and urgently need assistance from the embassy. They require temporary passports and significant help to return to India, as they have lost all their belongings.

Despite the setback, Vivek and Divyanka remain hopeful that with the right bureaucratic intervention, they will be able to return to India safely. Their fans and well-wishers are undoubtedly hoping for a swift resolution to their predicament and for the couple to continue sharing their joyous moments once they are back home.

The robbers chose that location because they were aware there is no cctv coverage at that spot. The thieves got away scot free.
