Dhanashree Verma tides over social media ruckus post split from Yuzvendra Chahal; signs reality show

Dhanashree Verma, choreographer and content creator, is once again in the headlines, this time not for her personal life but for a possible reality TV outing. Reports suggest that she will be seen as a contestant on Rise and Fall, the new reality show hosted by entrepreneur Ashneer Grover.

According to a post by Entertainment AF on Instagram, Dhanashree is one of the 16 participants locked for the show. “While Ashneer Grover is set to host MX Player’s brand-new show Rise and Fall, we’ve got the exclusive tea, Dhanashree Verma, ex-wife of cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, is one of the 16 contestants!” the post claimed.

So far, Dhanashree herself has not confirmed her participation. If the reports are accurate, the show will mark another significant step in her professional journey, as she continues to build a career independent of the attention around her personal life. Rise and Fall is the Indian version of the British series by the same name. Produced by Banijay Asia and distributed by All3Media International, the format places 16 contestants in a house for 42 days. They are divided into two groups: the Rulers, who enjoy power and privileges, and the Workers, who must rely on wit, hard work, and strategy to move forward. The official premiere date on Amazon MX Player is yet to be announced.

Dhanashree, who was previously married to cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, has remained in public discussion since their divorce earlier this year. The two tied the knot in December 2020 in Gurgaon, but parted ways in 2024. While Chahal is now linked with RJ Mahavesh, Dhanashree appears to be focusing on professional growth.

The 28-year-old influencer has built her name as a dancer and choreographer, with a strong following on social media. She was among the finalists of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 in 2023, which widened her reach as a performer. More recently, she appeared in the track Ting Ling Sajna from the Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi starrer Bhool Chuk Maaf.

If confirmed, Rise and Fall will test not just her dance skills but her ability to navigate alliances, rivalries, and power struggles on national television.
