Get ready for the clash of the titans this Christmas as Bollywood gears up for a blockbuster showdown between two megastars. Shah Rukh Khan, the King of Bollywood, is set to go head-to-head with the South Indian sensation Prabhas in a battle for box office supremacy.
Prabhas' much-anticipated film, 'Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire,' has officially locked in the Christmas week for its theatrical release, hitting the screens on December 22. The film, produced by Hombale Films, will collide with Rajkumar Hirani's 'Dunki,' featuring Shah Rukh Khan and the talented Taapsee Pannu.
The confirmation of this epic clash came from film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, who tweeted, "Yes. It’s true… SRK Vs Prabhas, Dunki Vs Salaar this Christmas… The exhibitors have received a mail stating that #Salaar will arrive THIS CHRISTMAS [on 22 Dec 2023]… An official announcement by the producers, #HombaleFilms, will be made on Friday [29 Sept 2023]."

Directed by the acclaimed Prashanth Neel, 'Salaar' was initially slated for a September 28 release but faced speculations of not making it to the screens this year. Reports suggest that the film's VFX work contributed to the delay, as the team is determined to deliver a visually spectacular cinematic experience. Despite the delay, the anticipation for 'Salaar' has only intensified, promising a grand treat for Prabhas fans.
On the other hand, 'Dunki' marks the first collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan, Rajkumar Hirani, and Taapsee Pannu. The film also boasts a stellar cast that includes Vicky Kaushal and Dharmendra in pivotal roles, promising a power-packed performance.
Interestingly, this box office clash between Shah Rukh Khan and Hombale Films is not their first encounter. Previously, they went head-to-head when Shah Rukh Khan's 'Zero' and Yash's 'KGF: Chapter 1' were released on the same date, December 21. This time, the stakes are equally high, with two cinematic giants battling it out for the audience's attention and affection.
