After a short hiatus, Celeb In The Spotlight is back with a bang! This time we have the recent hot shot model come actor Siddharth Malhotra in the spotlight!

Born on January 16, 1985 in Surat, India to Dr. Rajeev

and Leena Malhotra, Siddharth celebrated his 27th birthday this year. Being the only child of his parents, who both happen to be principals, he has always been the apple of their eyes, and now the audience's too with winning millions of hearts after his record breaking debut into Tinsel Town.

Ever since childhood, Siddharth had always been keen on acting, actively taking part in dance and drama in school to help shape his dream. Thus despite his parent's wish for him to pursue a career in engineering, he went ahead to pursue his desire. At the mere age of 16, he dropped out of St. Xavier's college and began his career with modeling, which led him to winning the Mr. Gujrat Pageant in 2007 where he also received the subtitle of "Mr. Internet Popularity" and "Mr. Photogenic" from the judges. He was also awarded the Gladrags Face Of The Year 2009.

Along with modeling and acting, Siddharth harbored dreams of directing as well. He was an assistant director to Karan Johar in My Name Is Khan, being involved in production throughout the project. Turns out Siddharth's not only a good looking face, but a multi-talent as well!

Siddharth made his Bollywood debut in October this year with the box office hit film, Student Of The Year, also featuring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. In the initial days of the movie's release, it gained a profit of an impressive 32 crores. Critics seemed to be very pleased with Siddharth's praise worthy performance. Even if a bit conflicted between Varun and himself, Siddharth was described to have taken many-a-hearts away with his on screen "sighing". Along with winning millions of hearts, he also received immense appreciation, making a name for himself with his very first movie.

As for the Siddharth's personal life, rumor has it that the handsome hunk is taken. His love life is blooming with two years of companionship with a girl he met in the US whilst working on My Name is Khan. However, the heartthrob is yet to confirm this.
