Celebrating Diwali - TV Actors' Ishtyle

A puja to begin with, gifts to exchange,a game of cards, some colourful patakas to brighten up the sky, ofcourse, with an air of caution - This is Diwali for our Telly Stars..

At a time when the whole nation is immersed in Diwali festivities, how can our TV celebrities be any different? Hence we caught up with a few of them and quizzed them on how they plan to usher in this pan India festival. All the stars we spoke to, first wished all Telly Buzz readers a very Happy Diwali and prosperous New Year.

Rohit Roy says that he and Ronit's family will spend the Diwali together as usual. "This time we will have laxmi pooja at our Production House, Magicworks' office", adds the actor.

Arjun Bijlani aka Alekh of Left Right Left will spend his off time playing cards. "Its good luck to gamble a bit on Diwali", he quipped. His Left Right Left co star, Priyanka Bassi is flying home to Delhi to be with her loved ones. "Its really sweet to exchange gifts and check out the hustle and bustle of festival bazaars", she exclaimed.

Jennifer Winget wished that every one should forget their differences and enjoy this victory of good over evil. "I really dig the rangolis made for these days", she grinned.

Rohit and Arjun agreed that Diwali has become more commercial these days. "But is this not common with all festivals?", argued Jennifer. Priyanka butted in saying, "It all depends on the individual, I know of many people who still celebrate in good old days style."

Any talk of Diwali is incomplete without crackers. Rohit loves colorful patakas which light up the sky. "But, I am not inclined to rockets and other types of crackers, because, once, my brother had got injured while bursting them. So I usually prefer to stay away and keep my kid too away from the biggies", says the actor expressing his concern.

Arjun on the other hand does not like crackers at all. "Why can't we celebrate without this waste of money ? Global warming and noise pollution are big issues these days which need to be addressed", says the dashing actor. Priyanka was happy with the fact that youngsters these days are alive to the dangers of crackers and are burning them less.

Jennifer had the balanced view saying, "Bursting crackers is fun, but one needs to always have the safety belt on. Live the season full, but take extreme care and enjoy with crackers.."
