In the ever-evolving world of Bollywood, some films stand out not only for their cinematic grandeur but also for the stories they tell both on and off the screen. 'Brahmastra,' the mythological fantasy directed by Ayan Mukerji, falls firmly into this category. It was on September 9, 2022, that this eagerly awaited film finally graced the silver screen after facing multiple delays, and it's been a year filled with wonder and magic.
As the film marked its first anniversary since release, Ayan Mukerji, the creative genius behind 'Brahmastra,' took to Instagram to share his gratitude. He posted a video that encapsulated the essence of the film's journey and wrote, "Happy 1st Birthday, Brahmāstra! The first part, titled "Shiva," graced the screens last year, leaving audiences spellbound with its mythological charm and stellar performances. Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, and Mouni Roy led the star-studded cast, delivering performances that resonated with fans.
What adds an extra layer of intrigue to this cinematic masterpiece is the upcoming sequels. "Brahmastra Part Two: Dev" is set to release in December 2026, followed by the third part in December 2027. Deepika Padukone's appearance in 'Brahmastra' raised excitement levels, as she portrays the lead character, Amrita, in the sequel. This character, introduced as Shiva's mother in the first part, brings a new dimension to the narrative. The journey of 'Brahmastra' is far from over, and fans eagerly await the sequels to unravel more mysteries and adventures.
