Box Office: 'Gadar 2' roars marking 400 Cr while 'OMG 2' slows down

Gadar 2 achieved a significant milestone on Tuesday as the film entered the esteemed Rs 400 crore club at the box office, a remarkable accomplishment that had previously only been attained by Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan. The twelfth day of Gadar 2's run proved to be strong, adding Rs 11.50 crore to its earnings and bringing its total collection to Rs 400.10 crore, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk.

According to reports, it will be interesting to see if Gadar 2 might surpass the all-time record set by Yash Raj Film's spy-action film Pathaan, especially considering its competition with Akshay Kumar's OMG 2 and Rajinikanth's Jailer.

While on the other hand, Akshay Kumar's 'OMG 2' generated immense anticipation this year. However, its run at the box office has slowed down comparatively.

On August 22, which marked the twelfth day since its release, the film managed to accumulate Rs 3.20 crore nett in India. This marked its lowest collection to date, resulting in a total box office collection of Rs 120.62 crore. Meanwhile, 'OMG 2' achieved an overall occupancy rate of 18.41 per cent on the same day.

Featuring Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi, the movie serves as a sequel to the 2012 hit, which also starred Paresh Rawal.
