Inside the house, she was known as “BB House ki Maa”, with co-contestants like Vivian D’Sena and Karan Veer Mehra often seen treating her like a maternal figure. Her bond with Chum Darang also stood out during the show, and their friendship seems to have continued even after the cameras stopped rolling.
Recently, on Women’s Day, Shilpa had shared a personal post celebrating the women in her life. The montage featured her sister Namrata Shirodkar, Namrata’s daughter, a vintage photograph of their mother, and close friends like Chum Darang. Alongside the pictures, Shilpa had written, “Every time I look at them, they inspire me in ways I can't even imagine. I feel truly blessed that each of these incredible women in my life has instilled in me bits of their courage, confidence, compassion, and immense ability to love.”
In response, Chum Darang commented, “I am truly blessed to have you, mera Shilpa ma’am. I love you so, so much. Happy Women’s Day.”
Shilpa’s COVID diagnosis comes amid a reported surge in infections across several Asian countries, including Hong Kong, Singapore, China, and Thailand. Health experts are warning that the virus may be resurfacing with new variants, prompting caution among the public.
In India, new cases are being noted sporadically. In sports, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Travis Head has reportedly been ruled out of IPL 2025 due to a positive COVID test.
With such developments, Shilpa’s message serves as a timely reminder: the pandemic may not be over just yet.
